Wrinke finish, LOL! Nope just good old Western NY Rust! I plan on installing a set of Quick struts when she hits 90K which will probably be next spring.
Keith, yeah the winters are bad, they dump more salt every year. And this year I even though I rinsed it down every couple days and washed it every weekend, it really took a toll on her.
d**n kid taking My truck!!!
Oh and I use Walmart brand paint. The flat black sticks to anything and the gloss black looks awesome!

Well, I have been thrashing on the 86 these past 2 weeks! The New tires are on, the fuel pump is plumbed and wired, front brakes done, rears adjusted, new F41 bars stripped painted and installed, and finally a complete detail! Now I just need to get the insurance deal finished so I can drive her again!!!

Front brake upgrade is next for me as well since I need new rotors. I want drilled and or slotted. Summit has them too? I'll have to check them out. I had found them from PST for $250

I ran out of cash, so All I did was resurface the rotors, Next time I will need to replace them, I will probably go with the drilled and slotted as well. I love the way the 2001 stops with them

Dave, bigger is better. Find yourself a 98-02 2WD Blazer and pull the knuckles, hubs, caliper and bracket. Dual piston caliper and completely bolts on. The bolt on hub is sweet as well. The diameter is only about 1/2" larger but the dual piston is a big plus. Couple that with the 85 S-10 manual brake wheel cylinders and it will stop alot better. My brothers S-10 is getting these changes to it also. I will have less than $300 in it when its complete. Most of that is the new hubs. Spindles were $45 and Bell-Tech offers them in a lowered version.

Keith, Yeah, I was thinking I should have done that on Matt's car, Seeing as I replaced the calipers and wheel cylinders already. The next time He needs brakes, it gets the upgrade. As for Mine, I still have all the original hydraulic brake parts, so when it's they go, I will be doing it as well.
AS always, a day late and more than a few Dollars short, LOL!

This weekend I did some major work on the 2001 SS. Replaced the leaking lower intake manifold gaskets, upper intake, new plugs [E3's], wires, cleaned the K&N air filter, throttle body and IAC motor, flushed the coolant, and changed the oil. Then installed the new rims and tires, a MONTE CARLO windshield banner and finally a complete detail, TOP TO BOTTOM! This car is spotless! Sad part, it shows up all the scratches and I found 2 new rust spots that I need to get fixed really soon. Hopefully, I can get a set of new struts and some lowering springs before the end of summer. Once the weather changes, I'll take some pics.

Sad part, it shows up all the scratches and I found 2 new rust spots that I need to get fixed really soon. This is the part of detailing a car that I have really grown to despise. It'd bad enough that I know scratches, etc., in my cars ... it's worse to find more than you remember! lol Cort | 37.m.IL.pigValve.pacemaker | 5 Monte Carlos + 1 Caprice Classic | * CruiseNites_2011_Chi.IL *MCs.CC + CHD.models.HO.legos.RadioShows + RoadTrips.us66 = www.chevyasylum.com/cort"No good news in the news this morning" __ Lacy J Dalton __ 'Black Coffee'

Time to upgrade the suspension of the 01 SS. Swapped out the old stock strut assemblies and installed a set of Stagg Performance Struts, KYB bearing plates and DNA lowering springs. The Parts! Old front ones out New one assembled And Installed! Same deal with the Rears And then I added a Strut Tower brace to link the rears together Next up alignment!

It's finally done!!! Well, for now anyways. The cap is back on and the bug deflector arrived and was installed today. Considering it took 5 months in the driveway, the way it was painted and less than $1600, it came out really nice! Makes huge differance than what it looked like a few years ago. 18 years and 113K miles of abuse, it deserved a makeover. Almost wish I had taken pics along the way, but decided it wasn't that important. Next year's plans, some gauges, larger tires and possibly some rock and brush bars. And maybe get the seat recovered.

Spent some time this weekend finishing up the compass/temp rear view mod. Had it all wired a month ago, but had a bad sensor that I finally grabbed last weekend. Works great now, so I cleaned the interior. LOL! Compass mode Temp mode

WOW GREAT SHOW! When we talk about Porsche, occasionally we will think of high performance and perfect engineering. Now, a Porsche showroom in Florida, USA continues these characters in its showroom lighting by installing highly efficient LED products like LED Down Light. This Porsche showroom replaced its outdated halogen bulbs with LED lights. Customers and staff members noticed LED lamps have natural-looking light without perceptible flickering. They shine bright and have improved visibility. These LEDs not only provide higher quality light than halogen bulbs but also more efficient. These LEDs consume only 11W respectively. Thus, the Porsche showroom has realized 83% saving in lighting related energy cost. Also these LEDs have more life spans of 35,000 hours. More: www.imigyled.com
