Forcing the Monte out sounds like some HOAs, too. Seems like if u want an older car u have to live in the boondocks like some of the other members here. Not dropping names, but it seems like that is ideal anymore. I've been fortunate, though. And I keep my mess in the garage and the noise level low. At least until the Monte starts.

And your right, If we allhad land in the Boonies like Jamie! We'd be set! But I don't see that happening.
HMMMMM, maybe if we all take the same week off from work, We can all pitch in and build a barn on his property! That way we all have a place to store our cars! I'm sure Beth won't mind a bunch of strangers spending a week there, LOL!

If I had the money for the supplies, I'd have a "barn raising" and invite you guys to all help out and then store your Montes too.
In fact, the reason I ended up in the area that I am now living in is because the first place in the area I came to look at had a 40 foot by 120 foot heated barn and a 3bd house. Turns out the barn was better than the house and it had a nasty cesspool from the barn that would have needed cleaning up before DER, EPA, and all of them would have been after me. So we decided against it.
Once the realitor had his hooks in me, he kept coming up with more places. Finally showing me the place we have now. I hate the fact it's on a dirt road and that I'm mostly land locked but it is nice. IT's like being at the end of a dead-ended one-way road... Once you get there, you can never leave... !LOLO

I'd really like to have an upstairs in the barn !!! My sketches I had a while ago for a barn were nearly that. One half of the upstairs would be my drum room/music room and the other half would be a woodshop. I'd have a I-beam hoist on the woodshop side with doors that open out the front. So if I built something large or needed to get a large piece of equipment in, I could use the chain hoist and slide it on the I-beam. BUT, I'd also have a slot in the floor so the hoist could go down to the bottom floor into the working bay of the barn so I could use the hoist to pull engines, etc.
