At least a road course in the Chase. The Glen would be good for that.

Actually, Since they already run Sonoma and Watkins Glen during the regular season, I think Mid Ohio or Road Atlanta would be a better choice for int he chase. I just don't think they are set up for the amount of spectators that would show up. But that could easily be fixed and it would be awesome for the economy of those 2 areas.

Exactly right. Temporary stands are out of the question and real stands are expensive. But, it would be nice to have a 3rd road course or a street course somewhere.

That would be sweet, but would drive up costs and compete with AV8 Supercars. Gotta be something they could do it with.
Sort of like my idea that IROC should have included a drag strip, road course, oval, street course and small dirt track. Then it would have been a champions series.

Keith, we need to start pushing ideas on NASCAR!
And yes, that would have been great for the IROC races! And they all have to use the same car for all the races. With only 3 days to set them up before the race.

I missed most of Saturday nights race. I kind of gave up after Tony Stewart went 35 laps bown because of a Cam position sensor. At least he didn't finish dead last. But even if his car was running right all night, I doubt he would have been able to keep up with Brad Keslowski! That kid was flying all night! And this makes his 3rd win this year!

Well, Tony Stewart pulled off the win last night! From starting at the back of the pack do to a disallowed qualifying time. JJ tore the front of his car up by hitting the infield wall with 25 to go, that one also damaged Michael Waltrip and Jeff Gordon. Last lap there was a huge wreck!Kenseth and Biffle got together, spun Harvick and sent Dale Jr. from 3rd to 15th. Gordon was involved in that one too.

Man, what a finish. Ambrose takes the win (his second Cup win) at Watkins Glen after a controversial final lap. Oil on the track that NASCAR couldn't see, Kyle Busch slipping and getting turned by Kesolowski. Ambrose and Kesolowski battling back and forth while sliding around. Do yourself a favor and watch at least the last lap.

THAT WAS AN Amazing race!!, Ok the last 2 laps mostly, but still, the last half of the race was great to watch. Watching Tony Stewart slam into the wall from second place was no fun, but it happened. So glad Ambrose held on and ran down Keslowski, it was like he was reliving his SuperV8 days! That made for a great finish!
They need more road races!!!!!

If NASCAR had more road races I would watch it more. But I do like Martinsville, Bristol, Atlanta, Michigan, Chicago and a couple of others where they actually pass instead of bump and run. I do not like Indy. Boring. I Doug they will add more road courses, though. That's why NASCAR owns GrandAm.

True. But even adding 1 more road course would be more exciting that a short track. Guess Grand Am will have to fill that void.

Yes they will. And the do it quite well. I think it's my favorite form of racing.
NASCAR may wake up soon and realize that they are pushing people away with high ticket prices and a host of other problems going on.

And I hope it's Gordon, not Busch who makes it.

Gordon did! So did Kasey Kahne. They both managed to race themselves into the chase.

I fell asleep. Oops. Just glad Busch didn't make it. He was pouting after the race. Crew chief is taking the entire blame for letting everyone down. I'd like to hear his honest opinion about Busch, instead. Feel bad for a team who worked so hard but in all fairness so did Gordon's team. They both had good efforts.

I saw the last 8 laps only. Glad to see him win it. It's good for someone different to be up front.
