well as some may know, Ive gotten a few different montes since the original site went down and got rid of one of them, heres some pics Still have the 71, hasnt changed much Had to say fairwell to my 87LS this year, The frame and body were to far gone, with the help of Dave , His son Matt and My son Bryan we stripped almost everything good off of it,and sent it to it final rusting place February 17 2008 brought this 86LS back from illinois, car was listed on ebay in january and didnt sell do to resserve not met, contacted the buyer and pretty much bought it site un seen, its originally an iowa car so the body is pretty clean. the motor is is supposedly a 355 that has been modified with headers , eldebrock intake and carb,MSD . the trans is a 200 4r with a 2500 stall and a shift kit,it also has G80 3.73 posi out of an SS, true dual exhaust without cats and SS wheels , not perfect but nice solid project I still have the 96 monte, that has become my every day after the 87 went car. it got hail damaged pretty bad back in june of this year in june of 2007 I purcahsed a 2006 monte LT , laser blue metallic

Safe to say it wasn't POSI. Sounds like u kept all the good stuff. Did it go to Matt's Monte or u unload it on the net? Not that I'm a big fan of E-Bay, though. Just hope it all found a good home.

Sad to see the 86 go, But true to form it has allowed 3 other Montes to survive and I believe a few other cars as well.
Funny thing about the inner fenderwells too! When we removed them, we found the passenger side had a nice neat square cut out of it to access the rear spark plugs. Doug found the reciept and it happened at a local shop that closed last year. Now the jack hole who cut the square works at the same shop I do! I feel like punching him everyday! well, not just because he cut the hole either, LOL!

And, I really want to make sure I get a winter beater so that my '87 MC LS/CL... www.chevyasylum.com/cort/mc1987/87monte.html...doesn't suffer that same fate..... Hi Doug! Lots of nice Montes there! I like that 71 the most, I think. By the way, why didn't anybody tell me about the quarter windows in that Monte you junked?! Those are valuable items...too bad you junked them... ... just what I'm still looking for for my 84 SC.

Wish you would have kept the bumper cover (at least the front one) off the '87 you parted.
Your '06 LT. Is it a 1LT, 2LT, or 3LT Monte?

Is it a 1LT, 2LT, or 3LT Monte? rj those bumper cover were torn up bad, they were probly fixable but at the time my back was messed and the weather here was so darn cold , i didnt think they were worth stuggling with them, the only thing i wish i would have saved that i didnt was the rest of the glass, front bench seat, fenders, radiator support and some misc small stuff i have know idea what nodel LT the 06 is, Ive been meaning to get the original invoice from the dealer for a while now. thanks for reminding me Im off tomorrow so i'll go hit the dealer up

Thanks for the comments, I tried to get those back windows out but the sealer was so strong i couldnt get them out without the fear of breaking them so I left them, do you need rear windows? we have a few 4th gen montes in a junkyard up here that still have them. RJ do you need the bumper covers ? they had them at the same yard also.

Just take a look at my 84 Monte thread to see what passes for a Monte... ;D That poor car needs a lot, and I'm not going to even think about the interior. I already made two deals for those windows from other board members, and nobody has come through. The most recent guy I paid and he has been unable to answer my PMs and emails, ostensibly due to a move. This was months ago. No parts, either! I don't want to condemn anyone; probably there are good reasons for not being able to complete the deal, but I'm still partless.

Ive had to ship a few items international over this past year shipping so shouldnt be too much on a couple windows, just need to get them out in one piece. we have a few junkyard runs in the works for 09, would you like us to see about getting a set for you ?
