One of the 80 MC's I have for parts had an aftermarket vinyl top and a Stainless Steel band on the front edge of it. They had added a plastic spacer to the B-pillar, then notched the drip rail and it's chrome strip so the band could go from beltline mold to beltline mold. On the rear window, they had glued and tucked the vinyl right over the rear window mold so it wrapped right over it and up against the window. It had started to pull out and was torn and soaking up so much water I had to rip it off. Oh, and they had also pop-riveted a bottom molding from the belt line mold of the quarter window back to the bottom mold of the rear window. This then had a plastic color-matching strip snapped in that finished off the end of the vinyl there.
No sign of any opera lamps on it. The trunk lid is not the original, so did this car, possibly have the Continental kit as well? I don't know. I was unable to find any build sheet on this car.

I've seen a few Montes with a wide stainless band running across the landau roof at the front edge.
But none of them had a continental kit on the deck lid that I recall?

I've seen a couple different 3rd gen (1978-80) MCs with the continental kit carved into the trunk lid ... but none in person with the stainless steel band across the landau roof..... Interesting, indeed!
