I know some members here have run the strip. What's your best 1/4 mile or 1/8 mile? Best 60ft?
Personally, I don't have one right now since my Monte hasn't run in well over a year now.

I have never had a chance to run the car with this motor, When I had the stock 305, My best was a 9.92 in the 1/8th mile. This Summer I'm hoping to take Matt's car and Mine there, just to see what they will do.

Best time last yr was 11.56 at 116 1.60 short time with a n/a 12.5:1 383. This yr we threw in a 11:1 413 and hoping to get a high 10 out of it, but we'll see, low 11's will do.

Didn't realize you were swapping the engine again, Mike. Share a few details with us, and some pics.

ya, it's been through some changes as far as mill goes. A couple yrs back I put the 383 in, turned out to have low tension rings that made it puff a bit of blue smoke, which is normal for those rings, but I didn't like it. So yanked it out after that yr and put dome pistons in while we had it apart, made it 12.5:1, same time added the cage and 12 bolt rear. That setup ran good last yr. This yr traded that motor to my uncle for his 413, and here we are now, haven't been to the track yet to see what it does. This is the only picture I have right now of the latest mill.

1 3/4" headers? In the frame rail? I've not been able to find them. Only up to 1 5/8", but I cant tell from pic what size they r.

They are 1 3/4" from Hedman's, nicest fitting header I've seen in a G body. The hookers are stupid, there is no reason to go around the frame rail, plenty of room inside.

Whats the chances u still have the number on them. All I've found is outside of frame which, like u mentioned, is stupid. I'd lift the engine to install them before accepting around the frame.

The part no. is 65218, They do not come with exhaust flanges, and come bare. But if you want coated ones you can call Hedman and they will weld flanges on for you before they are sent to coating. This is what we did with mine.
