Thats a good point, But most of the states around here, they check everything I'm sure that is true. But my point is that if you advertise on, say, ebay a person from one of those less restrictive states may go for the car. Then they can hassle with picking it up. Might be more hassle than it is worth. Depends on how much more the car goes for. I hate to see a fairly good Monte get parted out. Yes, I can understand that, But like you also said, it might be a bit more of a hassel than it's worth

I'd hate to see a fairly good Monte Carlo get parted out just because of the frame. Mike, I'm guessing the frame is rotted out from the rear tires back to the back bumper? If that's the case ... seriously check into welding companies in your area. As you may remember, my '79 MC had the same fate. When I found out what was happening, I mistakenly thought it was going to take some SERIOUS cash to get it fixed. So, I put it in storage and bought my ill-fated 1988 MC LS. When I finally decided to get my '79 MC back out on the road a few years later, it took ~$200 to get the rear part of the frame rear welded...and now it is stronger than it was from the factory. Course ... that was over 10 years ago, so I suspect the prices will be higher..... If you still need to sell it ... call me ... I think you still have my Cell#. Indiana does it on mileage. So many miles a year. Not enforced. honor system. Maybe have something like that where u live. Sad that big brother tells us what we can drive, though.
