We've seen witty/interesting license plates, such as these in IL: BMW AT 40, Pontiac Grand Am TUTH D K, Honda Civic coupe ...BUT ... have you noticed any plate ... ODDITIES? One morning on the way to work, I happened to glance in my rear-view mirror ... and thought I saw the word "S E X" on a license plate. As I waited to turn left off Route 58 onto Barrington Rd, the vehicle went past ... and I looked at the rear license plate ... and noticed that it was a generic IL plate that had "X35" as the first 3 characters. Wonder how THAT got past the IL sensors...?!! never paid that close attention, Guess I will have too, especially since I leave for NJ next Friday!

Never realy paid attention. I usually watch for states while on a long drive. See how many different states and provinces I run across.

Well, the only one that comes to mind at the moment is a late 90's Ford minivan I see on the highway every now and again. It is like an eggplant purple color and the license plate is "GRIMACE".

I usually watch for states while on a long drive. See how many different states and provinces I run across. Same here. One of the times I was in Dallas ... I saw a plate from HAWAII!!!! Heh ... and my topic spawned another topic, eh? COOL! weirdest plate i ever saw said NOTNOT9.......still aint figured out what it means, lol.

lol, Cort, I've seen Hawaii as well. Not 1 that we see too often in this neck of the woods, eh? I've seen Alaska a handful of times also. I used to have a log of them, but its gone now. At last count we had seen about 47 different states, 4 provinces, and a Mexico. Also 1 or 2 Eoropean countries (long plate) but dont recall what they were.

i saw VA SUCKS a couple years ago. (yes it was a virginia tag)
& i got MNTE GRL for my SS.

i saw a michigan state plate that said "t0ck" the green "S" made it say St0ck the funny part is it was on a built up '73 Camaro with a S/C out the hood lol i don't know if it was a request plate or not but it was funny
