No I won't be doing any Pinks this yr, there weren't any that were close enough for me to go to this yr. Maybe next year, but this has been a busy year, I'm in the process of buying a house, have a little one on the way, and am getting married next year. If anyone is going, you'll have a blast, they are always fun.

Seems like our little Mike is growing up so fast..... Seems like it was just yesterday his car made it into the "Readers Rides" section of Car Craft. Now he's getting married. Congratulations little brother and I wish you the best in the house, child, and marriage avenues. Just don't let the Monte sit on the side burner for too long. I know I thought I was just parking mine for a short time, ya know, just an extended period between driving it... while I traveled on the road for work and then again as I was getting my house into shape. But I'm here to tell you, that little time flew into a period longer than I thought it would be. If I had to do it over again, I would have given it a very, very thorough washing and set it up on blocks in my fathers barn out of the sun and elements. Instead it sat in the driveway, and then moved over to the yard while I used the driveway for other things.... Next thing I know, my baby.... my first love... had rotted to beyond reasonable repair and it was FAST !!! |

haha, ya some things have been happening quicker than I imagined, a year ago I would have never expected to be where I am, but hey life has changed for the better. The house we're buying has a small 1 car attatched garage, but my car will probably stay at my parents house in their garage. My plan is to eventually build a big garage in the backyard of the house, where I can have my hot rod and other toys, and she can have the attatched garage for her convenience. The car will never stay outside, might get pushed aside a bit, but it still runs, as long as I don't blow it up. I probably won't be able to make it any faster than it is now, for a while anyways, but I'll never get rid of it, my fiance wouldn't let me sell it if I wanted to anyways. I think I found a keeper. ;D

I had thoughts over the winter of taking the Major Pain, the parts car, the car trailer, and the tools to a local yard to have it all crushed. I was plain fed up with living at that point, honestly. Winter blahs my arse. She turned me right around, and now I'm back to my normal self, the "me" I like, and the one she still stands beside. Sounds like my wife has a sister she doesn't know about..... In a while, Chet. |

Pinks was a blast! Rich runs his mouth way too much, but keeps most of the crowd pumped. 1 wreck, Camro YAW'ed and took out the Mustang next to him. Couple failures (driveshafts, blower belt, the norm).
Kicked out the sandbaggers blah, blah, blah.
I got sunburnt again. Got to the track at 9:30 and left about 10:00. Sat in lot until 10:45 waiting on traffic to thin out. Good thing I drove the truck because 4WD was a necessity in a few places because it rained. OK, poured. Lightning, power outage and a shortened event. Finishes tomorrow, but I gotta work. I really wanted to see the wheelstanders too.
About 8 Montes there. A 1st Gen, 3 3rd Gen, a few 4th Gen, and a 5th Gen.
Talked to the guy with the Purple 78 for a while when I first got there. Extremely nice guy and a beautiful car. Had the factory trim and turn signals and everything still intact.

Last night I caught the Season premiere of Pinks, It's back to the original run for titles concept. It was OK, I don't like the whole arguing over "he has a race car and we have a street car" BS. You should have known that before you signed up!

Thats exactly why I stopped watching it. They r supposed to bring cars with similar numbers, but never fails, they always "cheat". Both teams. Too much drama.

I liked All Out better, got to see more cars and they were matched better by the team. I kind of stopped watching it because of the drama too
