i was jobless for a while there and finally got a job cleaning out offices for the time being... recently ive gotten interest in a few other better paying jobs where i think i will be able to breath a litle easier... hopefully it works out cuz i miss hanging out and talking to you guys... and gals..
anyway what i was wondering is.... is there anyone on here that owns alot of land or who has a barn that i could do a long term storage of my monte till i have the time / money to fix her up and get her back in the shape she should be in?? i really dont want to sell but i dont have the room at my new place and all the storage places out here want atleast 100 a month for vehicle storage.. if you know anyone or have a place of your own that i could rent off of you for cheap email me at bigrepp61@hotmail.com or just pm me if thats easier......
anywho i just thought id stop in and give an update as to whats going on here... hope all is well with all of you....

Mike, your situation sounds all 2 familiar. And if I had the room, we could store with no problems. Unfortunately only room I have is at my Mothers garage and I already have a Monte over there. I wish I lived further outside of town with a big garage, but I aint gonna be moving anytime soon. Hopefully u can find something.
And yes, Storage around here will break the bank, too.

Mike... thanks for checking in !!! I'd do it if I could brothers. I got the land but not the funds to build a barn. (excavating, concrete, building supplies, etc.) Actually, I have about 3 acres that are mostly wooded. As you can see in this aerial... the house and a small shed... and cars sitting outside :-( . I've cleared some trees out but most of the level land is to the left of the house in this view and is the neighbor's land that he doesn't want to sell. Some of the land to the south and west is pretty level but I would have to take the driveway out and around the house or have another driveway to it plus I'd have to buy that land, if I even can from that person.

Thats a pretty cool shot HR. Is that Google Earth or yahoo? You're an inspiration. I had to load a pic also. No room. AND, my driveway is steep. U cannot walk up it if its icy. U will fall and slide. I found that out the hard way. Its also a PITA to drove up in the Winter.

Depends on the area. Google earth will let me look at all sides of the house and my front door. They've been using 360^ cams on Yahoo.
Dave, I used "Print Screen", went to Windows Paint, hit CTRL+v and saved it that way. My work pic has me out front checking the mail. Pretty wild.

Ok, Lets try this. I have the corner lot, but the house is centered on the property so I really can't expand very much to the back, and the sides have burried cables and gas and sewer lines

I have actually seen that picture of your house Dave ! I was looking you up the other day and tracked down that satellite view. We were thinking of taking a trip up to the Hard Rock Cafe at the Falls for Father's Day.... never happened though because I got a sudden burst in work and have been pulling some long strange hours. I did still have a good Father's Day though !!

Spying on me Jamie? LOL! If you did make it up here, it would have been an awesome Father's day!!! Glad yours was, I spent the day painting the house window trim and the posts in front.
Keith, Yeah, everyone has pools, I just jump the fence into my neighbors when ever I need a swim, LOL!

Yup, Bro, I was.... wanted to figure out the directions (mostly) in case we did make it and swung by.
My Dad's Day was good. I actually got the day off and got done working early the night before.. Only had to do 4 hours. So I was in bed by 5am. The kids woke me up at 9:30am with breakfast in bed. Of course, Momma made the eggs, but the kids did the toast and poured my tea. One went out and cut a rose to put on the tray for Daddy too. After a nice bid breakfast, then I was told I had to get up and get around for lunch at the Outback Steakhouse by noon. (I just love the steakhouses !!) After we got back home I opened up my gifts.... tools!!! (Of course I got to pick them out, too !!!) Then I napped before heading off to work at 11pm again.

Nah, like HR I work too many hours. Vacation this week and not doing a whole lot because of being worn out.
Unfortunately with house and family I dont get to loaf often enough. Maybe when I retire I can loaf. Now I need to go fix a bathtub faucet leak and replace a garbage disposal. So much for loafing.

Crap! that reminds me, I have to replace the disposal!
Yeah, I understand the hours thing, Averaging 50 hours at work sometime more, then a few at Grams and Mom's, then home to get some stuff done like side jobs and house repairs, Then I finally get on the computer to relax sometime after 9-9:30
Glad your taking Vacation Keith, I know you've been pretty burned out lately, Jamie, I hope your getting one soon, I plan on taking a few days here and there this year, Mostly when My mother needs me to take her someplace.

Do you have a distance/mileage limit in mind? If not ... I'm sure the guy who owns the garage where my older 4 MCs are stored would rent a spot to you. He has plenty of room yet. Not sure how much he'd charge you, though I believe it'd be under $100 / month.......
