hey guys i just got engaged on friday.. i'm really excited and thought i'd share with my extended family here. we are talking about setting a date sometime in may 2010.
& you know what's great? my fiance loves the monte almost as much as i do. and he's always talking about wanting to get it done. ;D
i'm just bummed i won't be able to drive away in it on my wedding day.

Well congratulations on getting engaged.  But I guess this means I don't stand a chance now?  (don't forget...... I love Monte Carlos and own my own already) lol  I hope your future is a bright one. ;D |

well with the apartment hunting and the wedding planning, the monte has to go on the back burner as far as money goes. so i will probably finish putting the engine together since i already have the parts for that and it will at least run but there's that issue of getting it to stop LOL.
and hey why not crash the wedding and make it monte themed? i'd be thrilled!

heres an idea for getting the mont stuff, if you have a shower. instead of household items tell everyone you need car stuff. Maybe Jegs or summit has gift registry  !!! |

A big congrats to you, Jen! I too wish y'all lots of luck and happiness.
Just make sure your hubby doesn't start loving YOUR Montes more than you do...LOL...you might not get a chance to drive them!
I hope you get the Monte fixed in time for the wedding - you can take a honeymoon cruise in it like I did when I got married in Jan/Feb 2006. You can read about it in my 1984 Monte thread in the "Peninsula".
