Sup y'all.
Sorry ive been so inactive lately. Had alot of family things going on plus work with wheat harvest makes for long hours.
Good news though. Ill be around my monte this weekend. If i can find my sd card for my digital camera. I will get everyone some newer pics of her. I will warn you though. they may be slightly depressing to look at as i dont have the money to mess with her.
My wife just got laid off of work Wed afternoon. Things will be tight for a while but her ex boss has offered to help her locate a new job as she was not aware of the termination....ya..its that messed up. but its for the better though. less stress of her and me.
hope everyone else is doin ok with everything.
Much love to my monte family,
Ben

i hear that. she got laid off over some bs write up. oh well. some of the ppl she had to work with should be "fixed" so they cant reproduce, lol.
my dad just called me and told me to scrap the weekend plans. my mom, sister and nephew are all sick and he told me to stay awhile so i dont get sick. he dont know my wife got laid off yet.
on the good hand though, wifes ex boss/friend(ya we party together:D) told her if she files for unemployment she wont fight her which helps out the mind some. the wife has been out yesterday and today job hunting. filled out like 3-5 apps so far. maybe we'll get lucky and she gets hired. lots of jobs open around here if your willing to work hard to get them.

Dont feel bad. Mine is still in the air with no trans.
BTW, when u parked the LS in the barn, did u park it on some good quality plastic to keep moisture off the undercarriage? Even thin concrete will let moisture rise through it.

when are you going to beable to git the LS out of storage? i think on the old site you mentioned it but i don't remeber. i think a site for LS montes would be a neat i dea i see a lot fo the SS but not for the others (SC, LS, and CL even though thats not a modle just an apearnce package with nice seats)

ya, it was parked on a several tarps. frame was solid beforehand though. no rust spots.
when will i get it out of storage? its hard telling honestly. when i do. i need a new trans and engine rebuild. its got water in the oil. most likely condensation.

sorry to hear about your troubles, Ben. just hang in there, it always gets better. and don't feel bad about the monte, mine's on stands with the engine just sitting there and the trans is propped up.. and i have to bolt it together enough to tow it to storage until i've got the money and help to get it back in one piece. someday, right?

thanks y'all.
we've been surviving so far. had to cut back on a few things which was prolly for the better anyway. She did have a interview today with an insurance company which seemed really interested in her. She will know by friday if she has to come next week for a 2nd interview.
The monte....its so sad i couldn't even take pics of it. the shed it was stored in collapsed 2wks ago in a really nasty wind storm we had here. wind speeds up to 100mph. luckily my dad had moved it out before hand, she still took some damage though from tree branches falling on her. hopefull they aren't to bad. i didn't have enough time to remove them sadly.

Ben, Cutting back isn't a bad thing. These days we all need to otherwise when it really gets bad, there is nothing to fall back on.
We have been swamped at work, so Overtime is plentifull right now, But in 3 weeks once the kids go back to school, We'll be standing around and leaving Early!
Tell her good luck on the Job search!
Hopefully no damage on the Monte. 100MPH winds! Never encountered that and really don't want to!

Hey Ben, Good to see you post ... sorry about your wife's job. Hope it works out for the best! And, as Dave wrote, hope the MC didn't suffer any damage ... or minimal at the most..... ya. the winds were nasty. pure straight winds. ripped some trees right outta the ground..yikes.
ya the monte took some damage. branch dented the trunk and cracked the spoiler.... that and its been invaded...
by hornets, had a nest inside my edelbrock air cleaner. and a nest of mud dabbers inside BOTH fenders.

As long as Mice haven't invaded it, then you'll have issues, Hornets die really quick with cheap carb spray and I mean really quick! it will drop them out of the sky!
the spoiler and deck lid can be fixed and/or replaced, thats not too bad
