Whether the road is "less traveled" or "heavily traveled", looking ahead is fun ... most of the time. These are a few "road shots" I've taken; since I'm sharing different ones with different groups/boards, I may add more later....    Anyone else have shots of "the road ahead"? Jen I know that Tunnel very well!! When I go to My friend Jim's in Telford PA, we go through it. Now if someone can please tell me why one side is square and the other is round??

Dad always had to drive through it on his trip from Philly to Tamaqua to pick us kids up. In 2-3 weeks I will be driving through it on my move... can't wait!!!! ;D
They are different because at one time it was only the square side, and it was one lane in each direction. I actually remember that from when I was really little. Then they expanded and added the round tunnel so it's now two lanes each direction. Maybe they should have made them the same shape...heh
Mom prefers to drive over the Blue Mountain instead of going through the Lehigh Tunnel. She swears it makes the trip shorter. The scenery is better over the mountain for sure.

And in 2 1/2 weeks, I'll be headed to Virginia, So hopefully, I'll remember to keep the camera in the car so I can get some road pics

And since the round tunnels are stronger than the square ones it would make since to build it stronger. But u would think they could have made the exterior look a little more similar just for the aesthetics. Looks like something Indiana would do.
BTW, nice pic. Not sure what would make u think it was taken in a Monte (sarcasm).

The weather wasn't cooperating that day  I LOVE this shot ... not sure why.
