Nice shot. Kinda liking the brick streets u have over there too.
BTW, whats with the "grips" on the ramp? Is that really so u can control the car when its slick? Just never seen anything like that.

Some streets are made of brick, but usually only those in housing developments. Brick is more expensive and normal roads are asphalt. Those interlocking bricks I saw in Germany 30 years ago and are quite effective, I guess. And yes, you bet those raised grips on the ramp to the upper level of the garage are indeed to help with traction control when it gets slick. Imagine what fun it was to watch all those cars try to make it up that very gradual slope in the winter when there was a layer of snow everywhere. Most could make it almost all the way up, but then they would simply slide all the way down. You have to get a good running start to make it up in those conditions. Sometimes people park right there at the end of the ramp, but in winter I always avoid that spot!! LOL.
You can see a few more pictures in my thread about this car.

HOLY COW!!!!!! AWESOME shots, Mike ... love those angles ... and the curves, of course . I'm going to have to find a way to try that myself...lol. I know some streets in Pittsburgh PA are brick-paved ... as is this stretch of Route 66 in central IL: Cort | 36.m.IL | 5 Monte Carlos.1 Caprice Classic | pig valve.pacemaker * 07/24/2010=ChitownMeet #3 *MCs.CC | models.HO.legos.CHD.RadioShows | RoadTrips.us66 = www.chevyasylum.com/cort"I'm doing better than I thought I would" ...
