The 2nd one is a 79, not an 78 also. Taillights and front T/S r a give away. Still, a pretty sweet find. Opened or not.

when it comes to monte diecast and models theres not alot to choose from with 3rd generations, Very true, All I have seen were a few plastic model kits and a few dealer promos. and the Hot wheels Montezooma (6 paint schemes) and they had that 79 Monte in the "Hopper" series a few years back.

I like both of these ... but, the seller needs to know what the heck is being sold! Dangumit. As others have noted, the years are listed incorrectly.... *shakes head* Cort | 35swm | "Mr Monte Carlo"."Mr Road Trip" | pig valve.pacemaker ...RT 66 drive = Sept '09WRMNshowcase.legos.HO.models.MCs.RTs.CHD = www.chevyasylum.com/cort"Something's wrong in the world today" ... I got it today, the model comes as a hardtop with provisions to remove and make it a t-top. The box is rough, but it appears al the parts are here.
Deb, the 2 tone paint is different, but I like the way the 80-84's were done, Remember Montemikes? His was silver and white, it looked awesome. I'll post some pics of it tomorrow.
