Ever do something at work that is so stupid it may change your career?
Monday, I pulled a 2006 Ford F-250 into the bay, put it on the lift, after 10 minutes, it slid off an fell to the ground! The lift must have kicked it out. No one was hurt, but the truck has severe damage. Just have no idea how it happened.
My boss and the customer are taking this better than me. I have been too shook up to sleep, go online or anything. In 27 years, this is the first vehicle I have ever damaged.
anyone else ever have a life changing experiance?

Uh, not really. Other than telling my boss I din't like him. Left me alone after that and very rarely contacted me. Still got a good review that year, too.
Sorry to hear that happened. I've seen it happen a few different times, just sucks that it happened to u. But, thats what insurance is for and glad noone was hurt.

Oh my goodness, Dave ... very sorry that happened to you. Good that the customer and your boss are taking it well. Can't say anything like that happened to me in my careers ... but I suspect it will someday. Hope YOU are well..... Yeah I'm fine, more upset with what happened than anything.
Keith, I have seen it happen too, just never thought it would happen to me, I'm always very carefull setting lifts. In fact, We have 2 guys that bring old hot rods to the shop. I am the only one allowed to set the lifts because I am always real carefull to set them level an try my best to not scratch the frame.
Cort, I'm sure you won't be dropping a car off a lift, But maybe something won't go as planned.

As far as dropping a car off a lift ... yeah, not I ... unless I suddenly get some super mechanic abilities...LOL.
