I was flipping channels yesterday and caught about a 1/2 hour about a rally race in Britan that the new Cruze runs in. It didn't look half bad, Kind of like the Aussie super8s. Held up against a BMW for the first race, finishing 1,2 and 7th, but then finished 5th and later in the second.
Anyways, I've had a few in the shop for maintenance, there not a bad little car, ride nice, look respectable and have an awesome looking interior. But being powered by a little 1.6L, I just can't see it as a winning race car. I wish I saw the whole thing, I'd love to find out what they did to it, besides stripping the interior, racing brakes and suspension and custom racig wheels and tires.
Anyone else catch it??

Turbo? Reminds me of the old Asian Touring Cars.
I like it.

You know, I believe it was a Turbo, but still, thats a small engine.
And I found out it was the FIA World Touring Association.
Yeah I like it too, It uses factory Sheetmetal for the most part. After market lower valances and spoiler, but the doors and body are still stock.

Caught less than an hour of the British touring series today. That Chevy [Plato] took the win in the last race, but was in the top 5 in the previous 3 heats. pretty cool race track too.
Now its a replay of the DTM race from "Oschersleben" in Germany.
BTW, I though the Esurance comercials with the cartoon chick was annoying! These real actors are even worse!!!!
