This race was really great!! 16 cautions, 72 lead changes and 22 different leaders! It all came down to Trevor Bayne taking the checkers!!! A just turned 20 year old Kid [literally! his birthday was yesterday] started in the top 5 and pretty much stayed in the top 10 all day. This is a kid to watch! Too bad he drives a ford, LOL!
Richard Childress had 2 engine failures, Rousch had 2 cars crash out, Hendricks had 3 cars in a wreck early that were out for 26-37 laps, then his only remaining car in contention, Dale Jr. gets taken out at the final caution!
Very good race! Congrats to the kid!!!

Dale Jr. gets taken out at the final caution! That was a bit "chilling", since he hit the wall almost identically to how Sr hit the wall 10 years ago..... Aye. That noted ... it was a great race, particularly in the last laps. How thrilling for Trevor. I was hoping a Dodge Charger would win, but I'm happy that Trevor did in the Ford. Well, a Dodge did win the Bud Shootout and the 1st of the Gatoraide Duals. And as a side note, I caught the 2011 Dodge Charger at the Buffalo Auto show, that is a very impressive looking ride!
And yeah, Keith you better have a word with MW! LOL!

*chuckles* Yes, a Dodge Charger. And, yes, not many started ... which ticked me off slightly. The ONLY car that is REMOTELY available to purchase at your local dealership, and they have the smallest representation on the field. That stinks. I want a 2011 Dodge Charger. *sighs* Cort | 37.m.IL.pigValve.pacemaker | 5 Monte Carlos + 1 Caprice Classic | * meet_04.16.11_Dwight.IL *MCs.CC + CHD.models.HO.legos.RadioShows + RoadTrips.us66 = www.chevyasylum.com/cort"These times I've spent, I've realized" __ EMF __ 'Unbelievable'

I want a 2011 Dodge Charger. I want a 2012 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that is RWD and LS9 powered, but thats not gonna happen. Maybe a G8 style Chevy would make a great platform for it. Never gonna happen. Cort, your car wants at least are realistic, but I can keep dreaming.

LOL! Me too! And you know, I never did understand why Pontiac dropped out of NASCAR. They still had the Grand Prix up until the G8. The G8 would have been a cool looking stock car.

I would love that, too ... as long as the 2012 model had NO connection to the Celebrity/Lumina line that the 1995-2007 version MUST claim. As far as my wants being realistic ... technically yes, but actually, no. At least, I don't think so ... since I really cannot "justify" the expense of a new car. *sighs* And, Dave ... I think the G8 most-likely never raced because Pontiac didn't have the money to support NASCAR entries anymore..... I'm sure Pontiac was out of NASCAR because of more than $$ issues. But You can see the G8's race in their original in the Aussie Super V8 races!

Oh, I'm sure it was more than just money ... but that had a big part to do with it, I'd bet. Heh ... it was weird watching the NCAA March Madness with Buick as the main sponsor, instead of Pontiac. Not sure that Buick fit in there like Pontiac did...LOL.
