After a delayed start because of the unrest in Bahrain, the F1 series started with the Austrailan Grand Prix this morning, I did manage to catch the last 10 laps at 3:30 this morning. Sebastian Vettle, the returning F1 champion, won the race with Hamilton in second and Petriv in third. Hope to catch highlights later tonight.

54 hours in 6 days? Weak, brother. And its because they would rather air a bunch of crap during regular peoples hours. Pretty soon Speed will be filled with stupid reality shows, too.

Sorry, I forgot, Mr Manager of the year! You put more hours in that I do. I'm used to only getting 45 normally.
And They are starting already! Car warriors and it sucks!!!

This week was The Grand Prix of Monaco held on the streets of Monte Carlo. What a great race! Vettle is going to be seriously hard to beat this year! He's really dominating, From the pole to the finish. I felt really bad when Sergio Perez lost it coming out of the tunnel during qualifying on Saturday. He really tore that car up, I guess he's OK, he did recieve a concussion so he was not able to race yesterday. one of the other drivers did the same thing during practice on Thursday, but he didn't hit the median divider and was able to fix the car.

Didnt see that. Sounds like Schumachers mistake about 5 years ago. Ruined his perfect season

I don't remember that, But then again, it wasn't until last year that i really started to watch F1.
Matt and I were talking last night, if Vettle keeps winning, we won't want to see him race anymore. Kind of like JJ, we routed for him for years before he won his first Champoinship, then after his 4th in a row, we were utterly sick of seeing him win! I think I'll still rout for Robert Kibica, the only Polish driver in the series. [except for this year]

Well, Vettel had the pole and the lead for 99% of the race in VanCouver. Last lap with Button on his tail he looses it on a turn and Button passes and takes the win! I missed the race but just caught the update on SPEED. Hope to catch the replay later this week.

A Really mellow race today, lots of excitement battleing positions from 2nd place back to 14th for the entire race, but Vettel remained out in front the entire race. I actually enjoyed the scenery more than the race today, LOL! Team Red Bull is going to be hard to topple, Alonzo gave it a good run, but was still not close enough.

Damp and Rainy Race today in Hungary, Some really good passing and side by side racing. Vettle slipped back to 3rd, but managed to take 2nd by the end of the race, Jenson Button won for back to back wins at this track, that was cool. I missed a few laps so I need to watch SPEED Report to see what happened to the race leader Lewis Hamilton and why Michael Schumaker was up against the wall at the end of pit row.

Didn't get to see much of todays race, but what I did see was Mark Weber and Louis Hamilton battleing for 2nd lap after lap! While Vettle had anywhere from a 8 second to an 11 second lead over the 2 of them.
Still a few races to go, but Sebastion Vettle has clinched the F1 world Championship title for a second year. This guy has not finished off the podium all year and with well over a 100 pont lead, there wasn't anyone that could even have a chance. Also the Red Bull team clinched the constructor's award as well.

Weehawken, NJ -- Formula One will race on a New Jersey street circuit within sight of Manhattan's skyline in June 2013, fulfilling a longtime wish by F1 boss Bernie Ecclestone to have a Grand Prix in the metro New York area. Race and government officials including New Jersey Governor Chris Christie announced the race, billed as the Grand Prix of America at Port Imperial, at a press conference Tuesday that included Weehawken Mayor Richard Turner, West New York Mayor Felix Rocque, and Leo Hindery Jr., head of the investment group promoting the event. Christie said the three-day event is expected to draw 100,000 fans daily, all of whom will arrive via mass transit -- trains or ferry -- as there is no plan for a parking lot on that scale. The 10-year agreement between Ecclestone and Hindery, an amateur racer who won his class at Le Mans in 2005, marks the second F1 race representing a return of the top series to the U.S., from which it has been absent since the 2007 F1 race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The U.S. Grand Prix is slated to debut Nov. 18, 2012, at a purpose-built circuit in Austin, Texas. Unlike the Austin facility, said to cost $250 million or more, the New Jersey event will be staged on existing roads at Port Imperial. Hindery said German design firm Tilke Engineers & Architects, builder of numerous F1 tracks around the globe, has been hired to design the 3.2-mile layout and safety features. He added that the event will use private money only, with no government subsidies or tax dollars. Port Imperial, a ferry terminal, lies across the Hudson River from Manhattan. It was selected, according to Hindery, by searching Google Earth for a suitable street circuit in the New York metro area. The former industrial site and the surrounding streets "jumps right out at you," noted Hindery. The site will require installation of grandstands, pits, paddock club, barriers and catch fences. "We put it up and take it down," explained Hindery. The track will contain sweeping bends, sharp left- and right-hand corners, and 150 feet of elevation change. The street circuit will run along the Hudson, through the towns of Weehawken and West New York, climbing uphill before looping back to the front of the ferry terminal, which will mark the start-finish line. No specific June 2013 date was announced, but it's expected the New Jersey race will be adjacent to the Canadian GP in Montreal, which is scheduled for June 10 next year.

Wow, never imagined they would have a race like that in NY'ish area. Seems odd with DFW track being built. This is a good thing, though.
