...Probably because I prefer NOT to think about "doomsday", despite the circumstances in which I find myself now. I suppose, though, this would've been one way to get back on the radio....
I'm trying to retain my positive/fighting outlook/attitude, but having to sell my cars at the start of the summer (i.e. cruising, gathering, road tripping) season is a bit much ... perhaps more so than having OHS. I can't imagine no longer owning cars that have been part of my life for so long now, let alone not being part of many MC forums. It's been quite a ride (pun intended) meeting many people, attending shows/gatherings/cruises, etc. Looking through my road trip pics & my automotive memorabilia (models, brochures, etc.) is quite a trip through memory lane.
Instead of the boards/groups/FB, I've worked on some projects &, of course, continue to look for work (customer service, radio, web content editing, marketing, social media). Sometime, I will re-activate my FB account so I can connect/interact again.
On a brighter/cooler note, have you seen THIS? It's typewriter art by Paul Smith...!

Going into a new profession six months before you think the world's going to end may not be the smartest of career moves, but don't tell that to Michael Luckman.
The New York-based writer of UFO books is committed to becoming what some might call "the D.J. of Doomsday" with a new radio show, "Radio Doomsday."
The show, which could be promoted as "all doomsday, all the time," airs every Thursday at midnight. It premiered a few weeks ago and Luckman predicts interest will pick up over the next six months. That's because some believe that the world will end on Dec. 21, the last day of the Mayan calendar.
