Nice Monte related literature, Cort.
I own the 2000 - 2007 brochures. A few of them in their U.S. & Canadian versions.
The '00 - '07 dealer albums. Some in both the Product & Sales versions.
For 2006 I have the Tech manuals, all 3 copies. The Impala/Monte Carlo spec book. The Fleet & Commercial guide which includes the Monte. The LA and Detriot Press Release kits. The Sales Training cd/dvd. A Sales Training guide. The Salesman Pocket guide (strange that everything is listed EXCEPT the Monte). The Collision Repair manual. I'm sure some things I'm forgetting?
The 2004, 2005, and 2007 Sales Training cd/dvds.
A really cool 2000 SS Press Release binder with an 8x10 of Jay Leno, information on the new for 2000 Monte, and several slides of the new Monte Carlo.
A few of the Monte accessory brochures.
A 2007 dealer show room Monte Carlo poster.
Some other things. ;D

Cool RJ !! you'll have to get scans of them and put them up !!
I can't get into most all the image hosting websites anymore through work. They got blocks on all that stuff anymore. Want to make sure we stay focused, ya know. Anyway, I've got to go to Chicago next week for a few days. Free hi-speed access. So, I'm in hopes of getting a lot of brochures that I have posted up on here maybe Sunday and/or Monday nights.

HR, I thought about posting some pics. Just the time to do so. My dad wants work done on his '41 Dodge pickup. At work they fired a guy yesterday the same level of supervision I am. He's been with UPS for 3 years. I've been there 10 years now. So that's on my mind right now. And I'm trying to get a little work on a few old cars a guy I know owns. Oh. And I thought I was done with the 2009 Chevy Talk Tri-5 calendars. Out of the blue a guy emails wanting his. He never paid for any. Today he says he is finally sending payment for the 10 calendars he wanted. Not to mention keeping the Montes all clean & pretty. But I'll see what I can do? ;D

Thanks 2mm. I moved all I had from my backup drive to the HD in my laptop. After dinner last night I spent a lot of time getting them all uploaded to my photobucket account and then setting up and pasting the links all into the library. It was no trivial task but I'm glad I did it. It was fun and I hope may find the ads and brochures as amusing and useful as I have. I have a few of the 6th gen brochures and I'm pretty sure I have them scanned, but they are still in my scanner dump on my external drive and not on the laptop here. So I'll get those up when I get them properly sorted and moved to the laptop. All the missing ones from the 80's and all the 90's I do not have. So maybe so of the others can help fill them in.

That's the 06 brochure... at least what I got the GM dealer then. I went in asking for the 2006 Monte Carlo brochure and they went to the rack and handed me this card. Approximately 8.5" x 11". I scanned and put up the front and back of it.
I even asked the guy, "So this is it?" with a look of bewilderment on my face, and he responded, "That's it. They're dropping the Monte Carlo soon anyway." Off he went to grab a coffee. I just got out of there before he came back and started wheelin-n-dealin. I did not like his personality or style..... He is the type of person that gives the horse's posterior a bad name.

I think the 8 1/2 x 11 card I got for 2006 has Dale Jr. in the background?
The sales brochure is different of course. And the Canadian version is like 10% smaller versus the U.S. brochure.
I just purchased a 2002 Press kit that's suppose to include the Monte. I think the guy I bought it from did a flip on me as far as shipping is concerned?

Aye, Tis True Cort.
I was downtown without a rental car and I know that area is a part of 'the backyard' you'd rather avoid. I almost called you Sunday night when I got into town but then I ran into the rest of the guys I went out there with and we went to grab some dinner. Then when I got back on got online and was putting the scans up on Photobucket and then patching the links into the library here.
My hotel was just down the street from the Hard Rock Cafe on Ontario. I spent Monday and Tuesday at the McCormick Center for the ProMat2009 convention. Nights were spent trying to get back to the hotel and then go get some dinner and beers.
Trying to get home was a short story of planes, trains, and automobiles. Wednesday morning myself and one of the other guys started out in a taxi, but the snow was so bad and accidents that it was almost a 1.5 hour delay to get up to O'Hare. So the cabbie dropped us off at the L and we took that up to the airport. Got there and through everything with about 10 minutes to spare. The rest of my team weren't so lucky. Two of them had their flight canceled and had to rebook on a 4pm flight and one other guy that was scheduled for a 10:15 flight got there late because he stayed with the taxi, but his flight was delayed two hours anyway. Then he got stuck in Detroit that night as the snows had blown into there by then.
So, as much I would have liked to popped out to Elgin and say hello and visit awhile, I didn't really have the time or the means to get out there. Sorry bro....

Dangumit ... would've been cool to see you! I was downtown without a rental car and I know that area is a part of 'the backyard' you'd rather avoid. Well, you are correct there. I hate driving downtown Chicago . My hotel was just down the street from the Hard Rock Cafe on Ontario. I spent Monday and Tuesday at the McCormick Center for the ProMat2009 convention. Nights were spent trying to get back to the hotel and then go get some dinner and beers. At least you weren't bored . he he. Which hotel were you at when you were here? I know of at least 2 or 3 in that general area, which is right near Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Too bad I didn't have to go there for a cardiology checkup while you were in town ... would've been the perfect "excuse" to see you and do the appointment all in the same day! Holy crap. Sounds like the stuff novels and humorous films are made of! So, as much I would have liked to popped out to Elgin and say hello and visit awhile, I didn't really have the time or the means to get out there. Sorry bro.... No worries. I certainly understand. Give me a heads-up next time you are through the area. And, that goes for EVERYONE!
