Over the last year My son and I have been talking about geting a 1/24 scale slot car track, after our Car Club get together at the Ridgeroad station a few weeks ago, We decided it was time to get involved! After doing some research, And conversing with Joe, We decided to get the small digital set "West Hamptons" We'll today Matt and I started the foundation. I picked up a 4X8 sheet of plywood, covered it with that grass paper and then locked it in the corners with trim pieces.    Next Sunday, I'm taking my wife Diana and her Mother out to Ridge Road Station, Hopefully they will have the set in stock, if not another store Transit Station does for $7 more. |

Mike They don't have any Street Montes for this set, They do offer NASCAR ones, but they have already been retired and are hard to find. I came across a primered Gray version, I wa thinking about painting it to look like my 01, But for $50, it makes it hard to do right now

LOL! The Charger is faster than the Camaro. I told my son, the camaro has a V6. But now neither car has side view mirrors, LOL!

Ok, got board with the stock cars and had to update to some fun ones.   my Son bought the Silver 69 Dodge Daytona Charger and I got the 70 Plymouth Superbird. These things FLY!!!! they blow the original cars out of the water. Now I need to play with the pace car funtion. I can set the newer charger to run consistantly and Matt and I can race around it with the new cars. |

Well, after 1 week, I have managed to break the mirrors off crack the spoiler in half and even burn the tires up! The 06 Charger has some paint scuffs, missing mirror and one bald tire, Looks like a rental now, LOL!
These cars fly and are a lot of fun, but they don't take the abuse very well. Fortunately, I found a place online that sells a replacement mirrors, spoilers and Silicone slicks! Guess I'll be making an order sooner than later!

My wife came down the other night said we were too quiet, then saw the cars flying around the track, Then asked me how old I really was, LOL!

Well, Today I got a new spoiler for my Superbird and 2ets of slicks in the mail, they look pretty good, although the spoiler is a shade off. Not big deal, I'll keep the glued broken one on for racing and save the other for looks. the Slicks are awesome! The cars don't fishtail as much anymore. Plus they take off like a bat out of hell!
So, Matt and I raced for about 25 minutes and he crashed big time! he hit the gaurdrail hard enough to knock his car back 2 feet, the spoiler went flying and he tore a brand new slick! LOL!
