well guys here's my monte motor specs w/some pics. the first pics are when the motor was n/a and then my friend put an STS remote turbo on his explorer so began the saga .
4.3 v-6 '94 "W" code engine block w/ balance shaft
bored .030 stroked 3.70, that's 283 c.i.
custom King billet steel crank 4340 material
rods by King 5.85 H-beam bushed for floating pins
pistons by Ross, coated skirts, floating pins, flat top small relief fly cut in. pistons in the hole .050 of TDC
Hasting Race series rings , low tension, moly
Melling standard flow oil pump 3/4" inlet w/ GM pickup
Speed Pro bearings: cam, mains, rods
Home made windage tray using Milidon diamond scraper parts for SBC
Mr. Gasket MLS head gaskets 4.090, .032 compressed
block recieved the normal goodies: honed w/ torque plate, aligned bored, decked
Heads are a GM non-production set given to me by a friend who worked for GM's R&D program. they are the predecessors to the Brodix heads. they are cast iron. they contain 2.055 intake and 1.625 exhaust valve. the exhaust ports are raised .250" flow numbers at the time were a tad over 195int. exhaust is a mystery. stupid2 the chambers are the old standard 64 cc.
the valves are Manley Severe Duty.
The intake has been changed a few times already. an Eddy 2111 sits on top now, it has been worked on a little here and there. it sports a 2" 4 hole Moroso spacer that has been bored out to match the Eddy 500 cfm carb that sits atop it. the manifold is ported to match the heads.
Cam is a Comp Cams hydraulic roller w/ .528int. .548ext .278 dur. @ .50 w/ 114 c/l lfters are Comp rollers, valve train is all Comp Cams. rocker arms are Comp Pro Magnum. timing set is also Comp.
Turbo is a MP t-70, capable of supporting 650hp, we'll see. lol
.70 A/R Ind 52.76 mm Exd. 75.41 mm Trim:58.9
Turbine
.84 A/R Ind 57.75mm Exd. 73.85 mmTrim 79.9
Headers are hand-made 1 5/8" primaries into SPD collectors into 2 1/2" pipes into a 2into 1 merge collector also SPD, welded to a T3 plate. the down tube is 3" pipe all the way thru the exhaust, into a single Flowmaster Super 40. which exits in front of the pass. rear tire.
The inter cooler in an out and piping is all 3" the i/c is 31 1/2" w x 4" d x14" h. don't remember the brand
Synapse blow off valve and waste gate keep tabs on the boost.
i have some new tuning tools to work out any problems that might arise. i have had the dyno'd it made 611hp@6620 and 506ftlbs@4880 peak w/12 lbs of boost. here's some random pics.
yes this is a SS car i pulled the broke ass 305 out and put the 4.3 in
