Ok, back on Topic, Matt managed to get some more work done. The holes are metal patched, and have been smoothed over. Plus the fender is straight again.

His plan is to have it all in primer by the end of the month, February is for blocking and painting. Boy is Diana in for a shock when she looses her parking spot again, LOL!

I tell ya, gatherings wear me out more than they should, really. It's kinda sad, in a way. Then, the time flies by ... and it is NEVER enough.

Dave, it looks like your son is pouring all he has in to this project.

If you're going to paint a vehicle how he's doing it is the only way.

I'd attempt to paint my '86 LS in this fashion but I'd end up chipping more paint then what it's worth. Cause 9 times out of 10 it's only me out there in the barn.

Having an extra set of hands to hold with can make all the difference in the world how a car goes back together.

here are some more, And today Matt found out, All the primer, paint and supplies will be paid for by the school. I don't mind paying My school taxes this year, LOL!










Matt has set a goal, he want the car to be 90% done before the Street Machines of Rochester show in June. The guy he bought the car off of, usually attends the show, I think it would be cool to see the look on the guys face when he see's this!

Rj, I work on cars for a living and trust me, I have added my share of dings and scratches to my car when working on it. So I know exactly what you mean. so It will be interesting to see how the doors go back on.

Well, Cort. He's been busiy working on it when he can. The unfortunate part is, they have had Exams and alot of classroom work to accomplish. He said he'll try for picks by friday.

Nice work.

Dave, please remind your son the doors need drain holes in the bottom of them. It looks like from the supplied photos he's filled them up.

If no drain holes, the doors will rot again.

Thanks guys It's coming along nicely and will be in primer by the end of the month. Next month will be allt he final blocking and finally in paint.



RJ, Yeah, He filled them in. it was easier to fill them in and then redrill them out when it was patched. I think he may have already drilled them, not sure, but he knows.
